Vanlandingham leads Lady Wolves in split series with PRCC

POPLARVILLE – The Lady Wolves moved to 15-19 on the year Tuesday afternoon after splitting an MACJC doubleheader with Pearl River Community College in Poplarville. The results give Co-Lin a 10-12 record in league play and moves the Lady Wildcats to 17-19, 9-15.

“Kamryn Vanlandingham had a monster day for us,” said Co-Lin head coach Allen Kent. “She went six for six with two homers and drew two walks.”

The Lady Wolves are back in action Thursday, April 13 as Northeast travels to Wesson. First pitch of the doubleheader is slated for 2 p.m.

Wolves drop pair to No. 1 JCJC

ELLISVILLE – The Wolves were unable to overcome the nationally ranked JCJC Bobcats Tuesday afternoon as Co-Lin fell in game one 16-6 and 3-0 in game two of the MACJC doubleheader. The losses move the Wolves to 13-18 on the year and 7-7 in MACJC play. Jones moves to 33-1 on the year. The Wolves are back in action Friday, April 14 as Coahoma travels to Wesson to take on the Wolves at Sullivan Field. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 1 p.m.

Co-Lin finishes second in MACJC State Tournament

WESSON – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves shot five over at their home course, Wolf Hollow, Sunday and Monday to finish second in the MACJC State Golf Tournament.

The Wolves were tied with Meridian going into the final round, but the Eagles carded a 283 for a two-day total of 576 to claim the championship.

Co-Lin finished the tournament just five over par with a two-day team total of 581.
