Members of the Copiah-Lincoln football, soccer, basketball, tennis, baseball, golf, softball and soccer teams will be introduced.

Co-Lin soccer hosting alumni match

WESSON –– The Copiah-Lincoln Community College women's and men's soccer programs will host an alumni soccer match on Saturday, Aug. 15 at the Co-Lin Soccer Field on the Wesson campus. All former players are invited and encouraged to participate in the event. The women's match will be held at 3 p.m. with the men following at 5:00 p.m.

Nineteen Co-Lin student-athletes receive NJCAA recognition

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has honored 19 Copiah-Lincoln Community College student-athletes for their classroom excellence in 2014-2015. Co-Lin had more student-athletes honored than any other school in the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC).

Co-Lin Pee Wee Cheer Camp July 13-15

WESSON – The Copiah-Lincoln cheerleaders will host their annual Pee Wee Cheer Camp on July 13-15 .The camp takes place in Callender Hall and goes from 8:30-11:30 a.m. daily. The camp is open to girls in K3-6th Grade and costs $40. A camp T-shirt is included in the cost of the camp. The registration deadline is July 6. Camp instructors will include the Co-Lin cheerleaders.

Co-Lin cheer hosting Boys Agility Camp

WESSON – The Copiah-Lincoln cheer squad is hosting a Boys Agility Camp in Wesson on July 6-8. The camp is open to boys in kindergarten through sixth grade and camp sessions are from 8:30-11:30 a.m. The focus of the camp is to teach agility, speed, coordination, balance, and self-confidence. Cost of the camp is $45 and it will take place in Callender Hall. The registration deadline is July 1.

Co-Lin remembers Mitch Deaver

WESSON – The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges (MACJC) suffered a great blow on Tuesday, June 2 when longtime Pearl River sports information director Mitch Deaver passed away. Deaver was considered among his peers to be one of the most talented photographers in the state. Copiah-Lincoln sports information director Natalie Davis remembers how Deaver would often go out of his way to provide photographs for his contemporaries at community colleges around the state.

Allen named Co-Lin cheer coach

WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Athletic Director Gwyn Young announces the hiring of Micah Beassie Allen as the new cheerleading coach for Co-Lin athletics. Allen is a 2003 graduate of Co-Lin and served as a Wolfpack cheerleader during her time as a student. Allen replaces longtime cheer coach Twyana Morse.

Wolves split with Southwest in games two and three of Coca-Cola Challenge

WESSON – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves were unable to sweep the Bears of Southwest Community College Tuesday night as Southwest won game two in extra innings. The Wolves won game one, an offensive showcase, 17-10, but fell 7-6 in eight innings in the nightcap. The loss gives the Bears the two of three in the series this season and the Coca-Cola Challenge trophy. The results move Co-Lin to 9-14 on the season and 4-4 in MACJC play. Wolves compete in Coca-Cola Classic games two and three

WESSON – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves hosts the Southwest Community College Bears tomorrow at Sullivan field in a nine and seven inning double header to complete the Coca-Cola Classic presented by Poweraid. The Challenge is a best two-of-three series between Southwest and Co-Lin in an effort to promote community college athletics in the area. Coca-Cola also makes a financial contribution to both teams, and has donated more than $20,000 to the school’s programs over the years. Co-Lin currently holds trophy after defeating Southwest last year 16-6 and 3-1.

Southwest is leading this season as the Bears defeated the Wolves in game one of the Challenge on March 8 by a final score of 7-3.

Wolves drop two on the road to East Miss

SCOOBA – The Wolves moved to 8-13 on the season and 3-3 in MACJC play this weekend has the Lions of East Miss defeated the Wolves 9-7 and 10-2. The wins give the Lions an 11-7 overall record and 2-4 in MACJC action. Co-Lin is back on the field Tuesday, March 28 as the Southwest travels to Wesson for the remainder of the Coca-Cola Challenge. WESSON – The Wolves move to 8-11 on the year and 3-1 in MACJC play after Co-Lin split a double header with the Mississippi Gulf Coast Bulldogs on Wednesday night. Co-Lin dropped the first game, a nine-inning contest, by a final of 9-6, but rallied in the seven-inning nightcap and won 5-1. The Wolves are on the road Saturday, March 25 as Co-Lin travels to Scooba, Miss to take on the Lions of East Mississippi. Wolves win two and lose two over Spring Break

WESSON – The Wolves of Copiah-Lincoln Community College played in two double headers over Spring Break and went .500 as the team dropped a pair to Delgado and swept Meridian. The Wolves battled with Delgado in New Orleans on Monday, March 13, but fell short 7-6 in game one and 5-4 in game two. The Wolves rebounded quickly and defeated the Meridian Eagles 7-6 and 11-3 to open MACJC play later in the week. The games move the Wolves to 7-10 on the season and 2-0 in MACJC play. WESSON – The bats were hot for the Wolves Saturday as Co-Lin drove in 22 runs through two games versus Highland Community College (Illinois). The solid hitting performance landed the Wolves a 17-3 win and a 5-1 win. The wins move the Wolves to 5-8 on the season.

Wolves lose first game of the Coca-Cola Challenge

SUMMIT – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves fell to Southwest 7-3 in the first game of the Coca-Cola Challenge Wednesday night in Summit. The loss moves the Wolves to 3-8 on the season, but did not count as an MACJC game. The remaining two games of the Challenge will take place at Co-Lin on Tuesday, March 28. The double header is set to start at 3 p.m. The Wolves are back on Sullivan Field in Wesson on Saturday, March 11 at 1 p.m. as Co-Lin hosts Highland Community College.

Baseball and Softball set to play in Coca-Cola Challenge

WESSON – The Coca-Cola Challenge presented by Poweraid is a three game baseball series between Copiah-Lincoln Community College and Southwest Community College. The Challenge consists of one nine-inning game and the regular season double header for a best 2-out-of-3 series. The single nine-inning game takes place tonight in Summit on the campus of Southwest with the first pitch slated for 6 p.m.

For the first time, softball has been included in the challenge. The structure is slightly different for softball, with a single double header deciding the winner of the Challenge. The Lady Wolves take on the Lady Bears tonight in Summit for a double-header beginning at 3 p.m.

BATON ROUGE – The Wolves dropped a pair of games to Baton Rouge this past weekend as the Bears strung together 20 hits to the Wolves’ 12. The losses move the Wolves to 3-7 on the season. Co-Lin takes the field again Wednesday, March 8 as the Wolves travel to Summit to take on Southwest in the first game of the Coca-Cola Challenge. The game is a single nine-inning contest beginning at 6 p.m.

WESSON – The Wolves went 2-2 on the week as Co-Lin hosted two midweek double headers. Co-Lin swept Bishop State 16-6 and 12-8 after impressive hitting Tuesday, but lost two games to Delgado Community College 9-0 and 10-7 on Wednesday. The games move the Wolves to 3-5 on the young season. Co-Lin is back on the field Saturday, March 4 as the Wolves travel to Baton Rouge to face Baton Rouge Community College.

Co-Lin is set to host Bishop State on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. and Delgado Community College Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 3 p.m.

WESSON – The Wolves of Copiah-Lincoln split game with Mineral Area College Saturday to open the 2017 season. The Wolves won game one handedly, 12-7, but fell in game two after an eight-run seventh inning rally fell short. The Wolves lost 11-10. The Wolves are back on the diamond Friday, Feb. 17 as Panola College travels to Wesson. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
