Co-Lin soccer hosting alumni match

WESSON –– The Copiah-Lincoln Community College women's and men's soccer programs will host an alumni soccer match on Saturday, Aug. 15 at the Co-Lin Soccer Field on the Wesson campus. All former players are invited and encouraged to participate in the event. The women's match will be held at 3 p.m. with the men following at 5:00 p.m.

Nineteen Co-Lin student-athletes receive NJCAA recognition

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has honored 19 Copiah-Lincoln Community College student-athletes for their classroom excellence in 2014-2015. Co-Lin had more student-athletes honored than any other school in the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC).
Co-Lin Pee Wee Cheer Camp July 13-15

WESSON – The Copiah-Lincoln cheerleaders will host their annual Pee Wee Cheer Camp on July 13-15 .The camp takes place in Callender Hall and goes from 8:30-11:30 a.m. daily. The camp is open to girls in K3-6th Grade and costs $40. A camp T-shirt is included in the cost of the camp. The registration deadline is July 6. Camp instructors will include the Co-Lin cheerleaders.
Co-Lin cheer hosting Boys Agility Camp

WESSON – The Copiah-Lincoln cheer squad is hosting a Boys Agility Camp in Wesson on July 6-8. The camp is open to boys in kindergarten through sixth grade and camp sessions are from 8:30-11:30 a.m. The focus of the camp is to teach agility, speed, coordination, balance, and self-confidence. Cost of the camp is $45 and it will take place in Callender Hall. The registration deadline is July 1.
Co-Lin remembers Mitch Deaver

WESSON – The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges (MACJC) suffered a great blow on Tuesday, June 2 when longtime Pearl River sports information director Mitch Deaver passed away. Deaver was considered among his peers to be one of the most talented photographers in the state. Copiah-Lincoln sports information director Natalie Davis remembers how Deaver would often go out of his way to provide photographs for his contemporaries at community colleges around the state.
Allen named Co-Lin cheer coach

WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Athletic Director Gwyn Young announces the hiring of Micah Beassie Allen as the new cheerleading coach for Co-Lin athletics. Allen is a 2003 graduate of Co-Lin and served as a Wolfpack cheerleader during her time as a student. Allen replaces longtime cheer coach Twyana Morse.
Co-Lin overcomes game one defeat to split with Hinds

RAYMOND – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves moved to 17-22 on the season Tuesday night, as the team split a two game series with the Hinds Eagles. The split gives the Wolves an 11-11 record in the MACJC. Hinds moved to 26-12 overall on the year and 15-7 in league play. The Wolves travel to Itawamba Community College on Saturday, April 29 to take on the Indians.
Wolves set 2017 baseball tryouts

WESSON – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves will hold baseball tryouts for the 2017-2018 team on Tuesday, May 9 at 4 p.m. at Sullivan Field on the Wesson Campus. Tryouts are open to any 2017 graduates that have finished their current season. Interested participants should bring a copy of a recent physical, and a ten-dollar workout fee.
Co-Lin sweeps Holmes to move to 10-10 in league play

GOODMAN – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves defeated Holmes 12-7 in an 11-inning game one and 3-1 in game two on Saturday to sweep the Bulldogs in an MACJC matchup. The wins give Co-Lin a 10-10 record in MACJC play and a 16-21 overall record. The Wolves are on the road again Tuesday, April 25 as Co-Lin travels to Hinds to take on the Eagles. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
Co-Lin falls to East Central at Sullivan Field

WESSON – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves dropped a pair of games to the Warriors Wednesday night in two marathon games. ECCC hung on late to win game one 11-9 and defeated the Wolves 16-8 in game two. The games move Co-Lin to 14-21 on the season and 8-10 in MACJC play. The Warriors are now 12-8 in league play and 26-12 overall. Co-Lin is on the road Saturday, April 22 as the Wolves travel to Goodman to take on Holmes at 1 p.m.
Wolves split with Coahoma at Sullivan Field

WESSON – The Wolves moved to 14-19 on the year as Co-Lin split with Coahoma in a MACJC matchup at Sullivan Field on Good Friday. Co-Lin is now 8-8 in league play and currently in tenth place in the state. The Wolves are back at Sullivan Field Wednesday, April 19 at 3 p.m. as East Central travels to Wesson. Co-Lin schedules summer baseball camp

WESSON – The Copiah-Lincoln Wolfpack will host a baseball camp June 5-7, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at Sullivan Field on the Wesson Campus. The camp is for players ages 6-12. Cost of the camp is $80 for pre-registered campers and $100 for walk-up registration. Pre-registration is recommended for scheduling purposes. Campers should report to Sullivan Field at 8:30 a.m. on June 5.
Wolves drop pair to No. 1 JCJC

ELLISVILLE – The Wolves were unable to overcome the nationally ranked JCJC Bobcats Tuesday afternoon as Co-Lin fell in game one 16-6 and 3-0 in game two of the MACJC doubleheader. The losses move the Wolves to 13-18 on the year and 7-7 in MACJC play. Jones moves to 33-1 on the year. The Wolves are back in action Friday, April 14 as Coahoma travels to Wesson to take on the Wolves at Sullivan Field. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 1 p.m.

BOONEVILLE – The Wolves were unable to complete the sweep Saturday as the Tigers of Northeast snuck out of game two with a walk off single to win 7-6. Co-Lin rolled passed the Tigers in game one 10-7. The games move the Wolves to 13-16 on the year.
Wolves bounce back in game two to split with Baton Rouge

WESSON – The Wolves of Copiah-Lincoln Community College moved to 12-15 on the season Tuesday night after splitting with Baton Rouge Community College. Co-Lin lost game one 5-2, but came out firing in game two and won 13-3. Co-Lin is back in action Saturday, April 8 as the Wolves travel to Boonville to take on Northeast Mississippi Community College. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m.

WESSON – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves were unable to sweep the Bears of Southwest Community College Tuesday night as Southwest won game two in extra innings. The Wolves won game one, an offensive showcase, 17-10, but fell 7-6 in eight innings in the nightcap. The loss gives the Bears the two of three in the series this season and the Coca-Cola Challenge trophy. The results move Co-Lin to 9-14 on the season and 4-4 in MACJC play. Wolves compete in Coca-Cola Classic games two and three

WESSON – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves hosts the Southwest Community College Bears tomorrow at Sullivan field in a nine and seven inning double header to complete the Coca-Cola Classic presented by Poweraid. The Challenge is a best two-of-three series between Southwest and Co-Lin in an effort to promote community college athletics in the area. Coca-Cola also makes a financial contribution to both teams, and has donated more than $20,000 to the school’s programs over the years. Co-Lin currently holds trophy after defeating Southwest last year 16-6 and 3-1.
Southwest is leading this season as the Bears defeated the Wolves in game one of the Challenge on March 8 by a final score of 7-3.
