Wolves face rival Southwest for Homecoming

WESSON –The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves enter their final home game 4-3, 2-2 on the season, while Southwest Community College enters the matchup 2-5, 1-3. The Southwest Bears will face a hostile crowd in H.L. Stone Stadium on Saturday as the rivalry game falls on Co-Lin’s Homecoming. The Wolves are coming off a 35-21 upset of No. 18 Holmes in Goodman last week, and the Bears are coming off a 47-35 shootout with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Co-Lin currently has a series lead over Southwest 46-27-1. The Wolves narrowly defeated the Bears in 2015 with a 29-26 overtime victory in Wesson. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 on Saturday, Oct. 22 with the Homecoming court presentation beginning at 2:30. The game is also Co-Lin’s breast cancer awareness game and fans are asked to wear pink to show support. Watch the action live at colinathletics.com or on our Facebook page. Co-Lin upsets No. 15 Holmes on the road

GOODMAN – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves left Ras Branch Stadium with a much-needed 35-21 win Thursday after a strong showing on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. The win gives the Wolves a 4-3, 2-2 record on the year, and moves the Holmes Bulldogs to 4-3, 2-2 as well. The Wolves take on rival Southwest Community College for homecoming Saturday, Oct. 22 at 3 p.m.

Co-Lin faces another road test at No. 15 Holmes

WESSON – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves travel to Goodman to take on the Holmes Bulldogs on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 6:30. Co-Lin is now 3-3, 2-2 on the year after a tough 14-17 loss to Hinds last week. The No. 15 ranked Bulldogs are also coming off a loss as East Mississippi defeated the Holmes 63-49 last week. The loss moves Holmes to 4-2, 2-2 on the season. Co-Lin currently holds a 29-17-4 series lead over Holmes and claimed a 47-14 victory over the Bulldogs in the last meeting in 2011.
