Wolves comeback falls short

RAYMOND – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves rally came up short as they fell to the Hinds Eagles 17-14 Thursday night. The loss moves to the Wolves to 3-3, 2-2 on the season and the Eagles 2-4, 2-2. Co-Lin is on the road again next week as they travel to Goodman to take on the Holmes Bulldogs.

Wolves look for another win as they travel to Hinds

WESSON – The Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves (3-2, 2-1) travel to Raymond to take on the Hinds Eagles (1-4, 1-2) Thursday, Oct. 6 after an explosive come from behind victory over East Central. The Wolves rattled off 27 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to defeat the Warriors 34-23. Hinds enters the South Division matchup coming off a 34-0 loss to Mississippi Gulf Coast in Perkinston. The Eagles defeated the Wolves last season 33-26 to narrow Co-Lin’s lead in the all-time series record to 36-35-3. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30. No. 18 Wolves score 27 in the fourth quarter to beat East Central

WESSON – The No. 18 Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wolves (3-2, 2-1) had several big plays in the fourth quarter to erase East Central’s (2-3, 2-1) 16-point lead. The Wolves’ defense and special teams shined in the fourth as two pick sixes and a punt return for a touchdown secured the South Division win.
