WESSON – The Itawamba Community College Indians edged past the No. 19 Co-Lin Wolfpack 5-4 in tennis action on Friday. The Indians two of three doubles and three singles matches.
"Sebastian looked sharp at No. 1 singles and doubles.," said Coach Brenda Smith. "Itawamba always puts a strong, well-coached team on the court. It's always fun to play a team like that."
In doubles action, No. 1 Sebastian Osorio and Juan Pablo Pinilla defeated David Garcia and Russell Applewhite 8-3.
In singles action, No. 1 Osorio beat Garcia 6-1, 6-1 and Pinilla defeated Blissard 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2. At No. 3, Case took care of Valadez 6-3, 6-4.
The Wolfpack finish the regular season 9-3 and will play in the MACJC State Tournament next week.
