Bio

Ty Hill begins his first season as assistant coach with the Co-Lin Baseball team. Hill, a native of Saltillo was a standout player during his time at Jackson State University where was named the 2021 SWAC Player of the Year, Hitter of the Year, and Newcomer of the Year, becoming the first player to complete that feat in JSU history. He capped off his playing career as a Ferris Trophy Finalist in 2023, an honor recognizing the top college baseball players in the state of Mississippi.

Hill holds a master's degree in Sport Science and Management. Hill also holds a bachelor’s degree in science from Jackson State University where he transferred to after graduating from Wallace State Community College.

Hill comes to Co-Lin after spending a year as assistant coach at Alabama A&M and also has experience as a youth baseball coordinator.
