Lamarcus Lee named MACJC All-State

WESSON – Stand out freshman Lamarcus Lee earned statewide attention as he was named MACJC All-State Second Team. Lee, a Baton Rouge, La. native, led the Wolves during the 2016-2017 season with 15.6 points per game. The freshman started in 18 contests and also led the team in minutes with 32.2 per game. Lee finished the season shooting over 40 percent from the field and 35 percent from three-point range. 

First Team All-State: Shunn Buchanan of Northeast, Bruce Stevens of Jones County, Rodrick Sikes of Southwest, Davion Cole-Johnson of Gulf Coast, Tonzell Handy of East Central, Brian Halums of Itawamba, Trey Spencer of Holmes, Deangelo West of Hinds, David McFarland of East Mississippi, and Shaq Buchana of Northeast.

Second Team All-Sate: Dente sterling of Northwest, Lemarcus Lee of Co-Lin, Rickey Holden of Jones County, Tristan Walley of Jones County, Emanuel Thompson of Southwest, Keelin Jackson of Northwest, D.C. Davis of Jones County, Jabarie Escoffery of Mississippi Delta, Charles Brown of Itawamba, and Kendall stafford of Northeast.
