White and Floyd accumulate post-season honors

JACKSON, Miss. - Copiah-Lincoln sophomores Jonathan Floyd and Youry White continue to rack up post-season accolades as the pair received NJCAA All-Region XXIII honors on Thursday. The announcement comes on the heels of the duo earning MACJC All-Star selections. 

Floyd, a point guard from Gulfport, Miss., was an all-around leader for the Wolves in 2017-2018 on both ends of the floor. During his sophomore campaign, the Harrison Central grad led Co-Lin with 44.4 percent shooting from beyond the arc and 51.1 shooting from the floor for 16.9 points per game. Floyd dished a team-high 95 assists with an impressive 2.0 assists to turnover ratio. The shifty point guard also hauled in 85 rebounds and led the Wolves with 40 steals on the year.

White, a 6'7 sophomore from Baton Rouge, La., provided the Wolves with a strong presence under the basket all year. White shot 51 percent from the floor and averaged 13.3 points per game. The big man brought down a team-high 216 boards and averaged nine rebounds a game. White worked on his shooting throughout the season and shot 39 percent from three-point range.
