Canoville Named All-American
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The National Junior College Athletic Association announced the Men's Basketball All-American honorees earlier on Tuesday, April 4. The Co-Lin Men's Basketball team saw one of their own named to the list. Freshman forward Dylan Canoville (Plantation, FL) was named a Third Team All-American after his performance during the season.
Canoville averaged a double-double on the season as he led the Wolves in points per game at 16.5 and in rebounds per game at 12.2 while also averaging 1.2 blocks per game. Canoville shot 51.8 percent from the floor and 58.8 percent from the free throw line.
"When we recruited Dylan, we envisioned him being the best player in our conference and he lived up to that hype," stated Co-Lin head coach David Sanders. "Dylan is a humble kid who is hungry to learn and grow as a player. He has earned every accolade that his come his way for this past season."
Canoville was also named First Team All-MACCC, MACCC Player and Freshman of the Year, and NJCAA First Team All-Region for his efforts in helping the Wolves secure their first conference title since the 1998-99 season.
