Wolves Come Up Short Against Cardinals

GADSDEN, Ala. – The Co-Lin Men's Basketball team hit the road for a game against Gadsden State on Thursday, December 11. The Cardinals outlasted the Wolves to win the game, 78-68.

In the first half, the Wolves clawed their way back into the game after falling behind early and ultimately ended the half tied with the Cardinals, 35-35, as the teams entered the locker rooms at halftime. In the second half, the Cardinals outscored the Wolves, 43-33, to earn the 78-68 win.

The Wolves had three players in double digit scoring figures as Tyrell Bowles (Springdale, MD) led the way with his third straight double-double performance with a career high 24 points along with 11 rebounds paired with three assists, two steals, and six blocks. Koie Williams (Philadelphia) had 14 points with six rebounds, seven assists, and three steals while Morris Hammond (Ridgeland) had 10 points with four rebounds, one steal, and three blocks.

LeBron Deal (Monroe, LA), Dylan Creggett (DeSoto, TX), and Zach Thompson (Hattiesburg) had four points apiece while Moustapha Salekh (Ngekoh, Senegal) and Jackson Payne (Madison) had three points each with Tristian Lucas (Pearl) had two points to round out the scoring for the Wolves.

Co-Lin is now 5-6 overall and will return to action for their final game of the fall semester on the road against Delgado. Tip-off between the Wolves and the Dolphins is set for 3 p.m., on Saturday, December 13.
