Wolves Thrash Dolphins
NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Co-Lin Men's Basketball team hit the road for their final game before the Christmas break to face off against Delgado on Saturday, December 13. The Wolves blitzed the Dolphins and came away with an 85-54 victory.
The two teams were closely knit and stayed even throughout much of the first half as the Wolves ultimately held a 37-32 lead over the Dolphins as the teams entered the locker rooms at halftime. The second half was the big difference in the game as the Wolves more than doubled the Dolphins scoring, 48-22, to secure the 31-point victory, 85-54.
Tyrell Bowles (Springdale, MD) led the way for the Wolves as he posted his fourth straight double-double and set a new career high in rebounds with 16 along with 22 points while adding one assist, two steals, and five blocks to his night. Morris Hammond (Ridgeland) had his best performance of the season with 18 points and seven rebounds while Moustapha Salekh (Ngekoh, Senegal) had 12 points with four rebounds, one assist, and two steals.
Zach Thompson (Hattiesburg) had nine points, LeBron Deal (Monroe, LA) had seven points while Koie Williams (Philadelphia) and Tristian Lucas (Pearl) had five points each. Dylan Creggett (DeSoto, TX) had three points and Jamei McGhee (Heidelberg) had two points to round out the scoring for the Wolves.
Co-Lin improves to 6-6 overall and will return to action hosting Florida Coastal Prep on Wednesday, January 7, with a 6 p.m. tip-off in Mullen Gym.
