MERIDIAN – The Meridian Lady Eagles jumped out to an early lead and never looked back on their way to a 68-45 win. The win gave the Lady Eagles sole possession of second place in the South Division behind Jones College.
The Lady Wolves shot a dismal 23.6 percent compared to the Lady Eagles 40.3 percent. Co-Lin committed 24 turnovers to Meridian's 15. Meridian held a 39-18 lead at halftime.
Berniya Hardin led the Eagles with 15 points. Sidney Sims added 14 points and led the team with 8 rebounds. Yolanda Nelson chipped in 12 points.
Morgan McCray and Derrica Gilbert had nine points apiece for Co-Lin.
