Bio
Anna Nelson begins her first year as the Lady Wolves Volleyball coach who will have their inaugural season in the fall of 2026.
Nelson, a native of West Memphis, Arkansas, brings coaching and playing experience from multiple levels of volleyball from club all the way to Division I in the NCAA. After finishing her five-year high school career in West Memphis, Nelson, attended Jacksonville State where she was a four-year member of the volleyball team from 2019-2022. During her time with the Gamecocks, she was a three-time conference champion including two Ohio Valley Conference titles in 2019 and 2020 and one Atlantic Sun Conference title in 2021. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Nelson transferred to the University of Southern Mississippi to play her final season of eligibility. She is also currently working on earning her MBA from USM.
Nelson comes to Co-Lin from Mississippi College where she has been the assistant since January of 2025 where her responsibilities including assisting with the daily operations of the program including all recruiting for the Choctaws. Prior to that she was the assistant coach at Brandon High School in the 2024 season where she helped guide the Bulldogs to a 30-8 overall record, first place in Region 3-7A, and the semifinals of the state tournament. She also has coaching experience at the club level with Infinity Volleyball Club in Ridgeland while prior to coming to the Magnolia State, she also coached with Mobile Storm Volleyball Club.
